Sharing Images:How to earn

bruce lee

You might have noticed how many of your friends are earning from sharing images. You might wonder what it is all about.

Well this is what it is all about.Just imagine you take a nice picture of the sun setting by the lakeside. Your picture is a very good and you want to share it with your friends. You can do that in many ways. You can email them the pictures directly or you can make use of a picture hosting website. Now there are three types of pic-hosting websites.

Paid Imagehosting - In this kind of website you will have to pay to upload and share your images. There will be no ads displayed and your pictures will be safest in this website.

Free Imagehosting - In this type of imagehosts you can upload and share your pictures for free. But along with the images the website will display a small amount of advertisement. This is how they will pay for the bandwidth and webspace costs.

Free Imagehosting that pays YOU - This is the kind of imagehosts we are more interested in. Here you upload images and share them with your friends for free. But what is better the website will PAY YOU for hosting your pics on their site and sharing them with you friends. But the problem is that many ads will be displayed along with the pictures.

Now if you go for a tour and want to share the photos you have taken you can use the third type of imagehosting. They will allow you to share the photos as well as make a small amount of money for yourself. All you have to do is to sign up for a free account with that imagehost and upload your pics using that account. Then send the links for the image gallery or album with the photos in it to your friend and when he or she opens the photos you will earn money.

How To Achieve Top Google Position

bruce lee

Actually page ranking is a different thing. And achieving top position for google search results is some thing different.

High Page Ranking?
If you want to get a high page rank. then you just need to get plenty of quality back links.

A quality back link must have 3 important characteristics.
1) It should be from a high page ranked web page. Say PR4+
2) The backlinks should come from a web page that is related to the subject of your web page. For example if your site is about SEO articles then the back link should come from the same type of site, say SEO tools web page etc.
3) The anchor text of the back link should be related to keywords of your web page.

If you are getting 30 Pr2 links then you will be well ranked within few weeks.

High Google Search Position
If your page rank is good say PR4, does it means that your site will be shown in the top position of google search for your keywords?

Absolutely not!!!

This is just one factor that is considered by the google.

For example search this term on google:
"Improve google Rank by driving Traffic"

See what you see in top 1st position?

The top 2 results are http://www.cleararticles.com/

This site has PR0

The third and 4th result sits have PR2

The 5th site has no page rank at all

So you see that a site with PR0 was at the top for certain keywords, while sites with PR2 were at lower positions.

Yes you go it. Highest page rank does not mean that you will be at top most position for your keywords.

My Experience
In the last 2 months i did SEO of 2 sites and made them at Google position #1 for some hot keywords(medium level keywords).

I didnot add any backlinks. I just worked for Onsite optimization.

Here is How it Works
When your page is indexed by the google. It analyse your website's contents, navigation structure, outbound links, keywords density etc.

After analysing a page, Google tries to identify what are you presenting on your webpage.

Then Google assigns the keywords (or combination of keywords) for which your site is giving some information. Remember that Google dont consider what have you written in KEYWORDS tag for assigning keywords to your website. Keywords assigned to your website from Google may be entirely different from the keywords, that you placed in your KEYWORDS meta tag.

After assigning keywords. Google assigns a position for your keywords. This is the real game for which every body is worried

Main Onsite Factors For Getting Top Position For your Google Assigned Keywords

a) Remember the important places of your web page.
These are TITLE, KEYWORDS, ALT, H!..H6, BOLD, PARAGRAPH, etc. In these places you must include the keyword phrases for which you want to highly ranked.

b)First paragraph in your body is very important for google. Here you should give the comprehensive and detailed information for your topic. Disperse your keywords here in a good ratio, like 8%.

c)The alt tags of all images must be used. Use the keywords here in natural style.

d) You can bold the keywords in all your body content. This tell google that these words are important words and google will take these words to consider as keywords with good rank.

e) The keywords should be dispersed in your content in natural style. Natural ratio of keywords is like 5-10%. More than this may be called spamming by google.

f) The webpage navigation must be simple and easy for users and machines (google). From any page of your website, you must be able to access any other page of your website with 3 clicks at the maximum.

g) Your content should have outbound links where needed.

h) You must link your internal, other pages of your website, in your page's content. This will ensure faster indexing of your website too.

i) YOu must create a page called sitemap.html, listing the names with links of all pages of you website. This factor will give you some more points by Google.

j) The name of the page must be descriptive and should contain your keywords. For example "what-is-seo.html". Here "seo" is your keyword.

k) Don't use the much images. Fewer images are good for well placing in search engines. Also full flash sites are poorely ranked due to less information retrieval by google. Mostly text is a good idea. Google can parse text well.

In conclusion:

A simple formula is:

High Page Rank = How other websites rank your website

High Search Rank = How Search Engines Rank your website for some keywords.

Is High PR Form Helpful?

bruce lee

Q:Will posting my links in forums work at all? I visit a lot of forums so would this help at all?

A:Yes, provided you keep your links to your signatures, and actually post something useful. Otherwise, you will just annoy people.

Q:Will I get banned from a lot of forums?

A:That depends on your forum. A lot of forum owners take a dim view of link-dropping, where someone (or some bot) signs up, leaves their link, and posts nothing at all of use. So the admin responds by disallowing signatures and discouraging all linking out.

Other forums welcome sig links, because they encourage people to post. They recognise it as part of the give and take of the web. But very few admins allow this without some sort of condition. They may not allow adult links, for instance, or you have to have a certain post count without too many "me too" posts.

Links from forums can be a useful part of your strategy, and you're missing out on a lot if you follow Quadrille's advice and ignore them altogether. But use them wisely and in moderation, following the rules of each community, if you don't want to end up with a reputation as a spammer.

Q:Are links from a forum (even one that does not utilise nofollow) really has very little value?

A:That depends on the forum, and how related it is to your website. People do sell their signature links, so they must have value to some people. The going rate is around 30 to 40 cents per post per month.

Blogger or WordPress?

bruce lee

If you want to set up a free hosted blog there are a large number of services to choose from. This article is about the easiest one to use (Blogger.com) and the most versatile system (Wordpress.com).

If you have web space with unrestricted FTP access, Blogger can upload your blog to that address. If you have web space with PHP and MySQL, you can install WordPress on your own site without the need to sign up at Wordpress.com.

The original BlogSpot publishing system was slower than Wordpress. If you made a minor change to your template and decided to republish the entire blog it could take several minutes, depending on the number of entries. The new Blogger system overcomes this problem by generating pages dynamically. You'll need a Google Account to use it.

Both Blogger and Wordpress can be configured to allow visitors to post comments, and both have features to moderate comments and combat spam.
Blogger is easier to use

The BlogSpot system has fewer configuration settings than Wordpress. However, if you want to set up a team blog, or allow user participation, WordPress can assign different roles to individual members:
Administrator:
can do everything -- switch themes, activate plugins, edit files, etc.
Editor:
can edit other people's posts and can manage categories, links, comments, and pages.
Author:
can publish posts.
Contributor:
can draft posts but not publish them.
Subscriber:
can only edit his or her own profile.

You can set up team blogs on Blogger, but there are only two roles: Administrators and non-Administrators.

Get more than 45000 visitors per month

bruce lee

I surfed around the web and spotted a blogger saying he get 50,000 visitors per month doing blog carnival article submission. Just before I let you know who he is, I’d like to discuss a bit why blog carnivals will help us get tremendous blog traffic.

What is a blog carnival? How does blog carnival work? How will it give us this huge blog traffic? A Blog Carnival is a particular kind of blog community. There are many kinds of blogs, and they contain articles on many kinds of topics. Blog Carnivals typically collect together links pointing to blog articles on a particular topic. It is an event, like a magazine. It explores a particular topic or niche and is published monthly, weekly or whenever the editors decides really.

A blog carnival offer huge advantages for the Online Community, it allows you to submit your related articles and have them seen by a wider audience, perhaps attracting more users to your own blog. Carnivals are easy ways to get excellent one way inbound links and traffic, and best of all, they are free. When you are just starting out or maybe still want more blog traffic you can take the full advantage of blog carnivals. All you have to do is to find the appropriate carnivals for your niche and submit your best blog posts.

By submitting your best blog posts to the carnival of your niche you can pick up dozens or even hundreds of new subscribers from each round of carnival submission making it a good place to start your marketing campaign.Steve Pavlina in one of his post said:

"In my early traffic-building days, I’d do carnivals submissions once a week, and it helped a great deal in going from nothing to about 50,000 visitors per month. You still have to produce great content, but carnivals give you a free shot at marketing your unknown blog for free.

Carnivals are like an open-mic night at a comedy club - they give amateurs a chance to show off their stuff. I still submit to certain carnivals every once in a while, but now my traffic is so high that relatively speaking, they don’t make much difference anymore."

So, what are you waiting for? Go, find the blog carnivals of your niche and start submitting your best posts. You will be surprise of how much blog traffic you will be getting here. Good luck!

How to earn $500 per month from Adsense

bruce lee

If you are an active member of Adsense Help Forum, I am sure you must read a post that talk about how to make $500 a month from Adsense. A member called adsenseriches shares with us about his techniques of doing so. Below is his sharing:

There are lots of people making more than $500 a month. I am one of them...So, how is this done?

I use the wash-rinse-repeat method:

1) Wash:

a) Keyword research (tip: don't go after the high paying keywords, those are virtually impossible to get good rankings for)

b) Decide on a suitable domain name, based on the keyword(s). It's often a complete phrase, since it has less competition and it's also easier to find an available domain.

c) Create Content

d) Upload to your host.

2) Rinse:

Tell the world about your site, using various linking strategies...

a) I have already made a post about Tag & Ping on another forum.

b) You can submit your site to many directories as well.

c) Use some of your content as posts to n article directories, with a backlink in your signature)

d) Participate in forums related to your keyword/niche

3)Repeat!

Do it all over again, using a new keyword/niche.

Tips to achieve such goal:

Once you got your earnings coming, use those to fund your growth.
Find a cheap domain name registrar - less than $10/per year for a .com is acceptable:www.datorsamdomains.com

Get lots of hosting accounts in order to get the sites on different IP addresses:www.cheaphosting-1.com

Mistake that violates Google Adsense TOS

bruce lee

Google program is a popular web advertising program which provides a good income source for many websites. There are well defined terms of service to strictly adhere to when participating in the program.

On my visit through sites and forums, I daily notice several instances of misuse of Adsense ads. So here a few helpful Google Adsense tips, probably many you already know, and few you might gain by knowing now. These adsense faq are all picked from the Program Policies, Terms and Conditions and FAQ itself and presented in a simplified manner.

1. Never click your own adsense ads or get them clicked for whatever reason. You know this one very well. This is a surefire way to close you Adsense account. Never tell your office associates or friends to click on them. Keep a check if your family or children are busy increasing your income by clicking your ads and indirectly trying to stop your income. Dont even think of offering incentives for clicks, using automated clicking tools, or other deceptive software. Adsense is very smart to detect fraudulent clicks. Check the ads which appear on your pages by the Google Preview tool if required.

2. Never change the Adsense code. There are enough means of adsense optimization & customizations available to change the colour, background or border to suit your needs. Do whatever you want to do outside the code, never fiddle within the ad or the search code. They know it when you do. The search code has more limitations to colour and placement, but you should adhere to the rules. The code may stop working and violates the TOS.

3. Do not place more than 3 ad units and 3 ad links or 2 adsense search boxes on any web page. Anyway, ads will not appear in those units even if you place more ad units. But this is the limit they set, so it is better to stick to it.

4. Do not run competitive contextual text ad or search services on the same site which offer Google Adsense competition in their field. Never try to create link structures resembling the adsense ads. Never use other competitive search tools on the same pages which have Adsense powered Google search. They do allow affiliate or limited-text links. Update: Google has allowed you to run contextual advertising like Yahoo ads, Chitika etc provided the ads do not resemble Adsense ads.

5. Do not disclose confidential information about your account like the CTR, CPM and income derived via individual ad units or any other confidential information they may reveal to you. However, you may reveal the total money you make as per recent updates to the TOS.

6. Label headings as “sponsored links” or “advertisements” only. Other labels are not allowed. I have seen many sites label ads with other titles. Dont make your site a target in a few seconds gaze.

7. Never launch a New Page for clicked ads by default. Adsense ads should open on the same page. You may be using a base target tag to open all links in a new window or frame by default. Correct it now as they do not want new pages opening from clicked ads.

8. One Account suffices for Multiple websites. You do not need to create 5 accounts for 5 different websites. One account will do. If you live in the fear that if one account is closed down for violation of TOS, believe me they will close all accounts when they find out. You can keep track of clicks by using channels with real time statistics. They will automatically detect the new site and display relevant ads.

9. Place ads only on Content Pages. Advertisers pay only for content based ads. Content drives relevant ads. Although you might manage some clicks from error, login, registration, “thank you” or welcome pages, parking pages or pop ups, it will get you out of the program.

10. Do not mask ad elements. Alteration of colours and border is a facility to blend or contrast ads as per your site requirements. I have seen many sites where the url part is of the same colour as the background. While blending the ad with your site is a good idea, hiding relevant components of the ads is not allowed. Also do not block the visibility of ads by overlapping images, pop ups, tables etc.

11. Do not send your ads by email. Html formatted emails look good and allow placement of these javascript ads. But it is not allowed as per TOS. You do not want impressions registering on their logs from any email even once. They are watching!

12. Keep track of your content. So Adsense is not allowed on several non content pages. But it is also not allowed on several content pages too. Do not add it on web pages with MP3, Video, News Groups, and Image Results. Also exclude any pornographic, hate-related, violent, or illegal content.

13. Do not alter the results after ad clicks or searches - Ensure you are not in any way altering the site which the user reaches to after clicking the ads. Do not frame, minimize, remove, redirect or otherwise inhibit the full and complete display of any Advertiser Page or Search Results Page after the user clicks on any Ad or Search results.

14. Avoid excessive advertising and keyword stuffing - Although the definition of ‘excessive’ is a gray area and is subject to discretion, yet Google adsense with correct placement, focused content and high traffic will get you much more income than other programs, so excessive advertising is not required. Keyword stuffing does target better focused ads, but overdoing it is not required.

15. Ensure you Language is Supported - Adsense supports “Chinese (simplified), Japanese, Danish, Korean, Dutch, Norwegian, English, Polish, Finnish, Portuguese, French, Russian, German, Spanish, Hungarian, Swedish, Italian and Turkish”. In addition, AdSense for search is available in Czech, Slovak, and Traditional Chinese. If your web pages language is not supported, do not use the code on such pages.

Update:

16. Maximum 2 referral button per product per page - With the launch of the google adsense referral program, you are allowed to put only 2 referral buttons for adsense referral, adwords referral, Google pack and Firefox with google toolbar referral.

17. Do not specify Google ads as your alternate ads. - Several services like Chitika eminimalls allow you to place alternate urls, when a targeted paying ad cannot be displayed. This involved creating an simple html page and putting the ad to be displayed instead. Even Adsense allows an alternate url feature instead of displaying public service ads. But never use Adsense ads as alternate urls.

18. Do not confuse with adjacent images - It was a common policy to increase CTR by placing same number of images as the number of text ads, which falsely gave the impression that the text ads represented an explanation to these images. Inserting a small space or a line between the images and ads is not allowed. Make sure that the ads and images are not arranged in a way that could easily mislead or confuse your visitors.

7 Steps To Get PR5 One Way Links For Free

bruce lee

One way links from sites with high Page Rank are the best possible links you could get when promoting your site or blog. The easy way to get these type of links is to use services like textlinkbrokers.com or linkadage.com where you pay monthly fees for one way links on sites that you choose.

Those services work very well, but what do you do if you can't afford to buy many high PR text links.

I'm going to show you an easy way to get this type of links, and you can use this method if you don't have a big budget or you simply want to save some money.

Let's say you have created a blog in a certain niche, you have added content on a regular basis, found some link partners, sent articles to directories etc. Traffic is coming to your blog, but in pretty low numbers.

So you want to get some one way links from sites with high PR (preferably with more than decent traffic) for better search engine placement. You'll do this by creating a quality report in that niche, and then offer that report with Master Resale Rights to owners of blogs and sites(with PR 5+) in your niche in exchange for a one way link.

Here's how you do that Step By Step:

Step1. The first thing you need to do is make a list with questions that people have regarding your niche. To do this, you must visit blogs, forums(the best resource for this type of research), Yahoo Answers, Online Magazines, Google Groups, and Amazon.com to find those questions that need an answer. Choose one two or three questions that are asked a lot, questions people are having a hard time finding an answer for.

Step2. If you are an expert in your niche jump to Step3. If you're not an expert in your niche and you do research to create content for your blog or site, you need to follow the same process to create your report. Article directories can be a good place to start, also Wikipedia.com, forums, blogs etc.

Step3. Now it's time to write the report. It should have a maximum of 20 pages, but it could work very well with even 10 pages. Make sure you answer the questions you have found in step1 in a clear and easy to understand way. This is the most important part of the process. If the report isn't of the best quality, webmasters will reject it.

Step4. Find affiliate programs that go hand in hand with your report. Clickbank.com, CJ.com, PayDotCom.com are great places to find affiliate programs.

Step5(Optional but Recommended). Write a small sales letter for the report ... well more like a solo ad. Write about how your report answers those questions a lot of people are dying to know the answer. Search on google for "how to write a solo ad" for ideas.

Step6. Find blogs and sites in your niche with high PR. Use google, blog directories, article directories and social bookmarking sites.

Step7. Contact the webmasters and offer the report with Master Resale Rights in exchange for a one way link on the home page or other high PR page. Show them the list with affiliate programs you recommend they promote. Also, as a bonus, give them the solo ad you wrote so that they can instantly send it to their list for quick money in their Paypal accounts. Try to contact as many webmasters as you can. Not all will accept the proposal but if you create a quality report many will.

Follow these steps, and you'll get many top quality one way links for free.

How to Build Quality Backlinks

bruce lee

When it comes to having a website that is properly optimized for search engines, backlinks are a necessity to online success. There are several different components that assist in the area of having a website that is considered to have good optimization for all the popular websites like Google, Yahoo, Lycos, Ask.Com, AOL, MSN, and more. These components include keywords, the density of keywords within the physical content, quality, and backlinks. Here, you will learn quite a bit of information regarding this important component of your website. You will learn what they are, how to get them, and even why they are important!

What Are Backlinks?

Many individuals are quite curious to learn more once they hear of backlinks offering a solution to increasing their overall page rank. Backlinks are actually quite simple to define. They are basically just links that are considered to be incoming to a particular website, article, picture, video, or any other type of media that is on the internet. You may also look at them as a link that is received from one particular area on the internet to another specific area on the internet. These are received and sent to what is referred to as "web nodes". Web nodes include online directories, domains that are considered to be top level, and even basic websites.

Backlinks are known by several other names when it comes to the virtual world, these names include:

Inward Links
Inbound, or Inbound Links
Incoming, or Incoming Links
Inlinks

How Do I Get Backlinks?

There are several creative ways to get backlinks to your website. One of the methods that I find to be most effective is by creating an article marketing campaign that can provide you with several different places to add small reciprocal links back to the page that you are trying to increase the overall ranking of. Here's an example:

Let's say that you have a website that promotes natural remedies for depression. We will call this website "BowlingSample.Com" (just for the sake of providing an example).

Now, we want to get backlinks to BowlingSample.Com through the means of an article marketing campaign. We research free places to submit articles and we come up with eHow.com and AssociatedContent.com. So, these two websites are the places we will submit our articles for the article marketing campaign.

We will want to create articles geared around bowling balls, shoes, gloves and anything pertaining to bowling, and more. Once the articles are completed, we will want to submit them.
Now, you will run across resource sections where you can provide links to other websites. This is where you will want to provide a backlink to the website that you want your visitors to visit. If you submit one article to eHow.com and one to AssociatedContent.com, you will have two backlinks!

Now, wasn't that easy?

Why Are Backlinks So Important?

Backlinks are essential to online success due to the fact that they assist in creating popularity for your website. In addition to this, when search engines crawl websites, they determine which websites have the largest number of backlinks. When this occurs, it creates a popularity rank when it comes to search engine ranking. Naturally, the higher that your page and other media online ranks, the more successful your website will be!

bruce lee

Link Popularity can take more time than other methods do. However the more better your rankings and placement are in the search engines, the more traffic that you will be able to generate. Here are 7 Different ways to building link popularity today.

1. Make your web site look professional. Having a web site that has a more professional look will attract more visitors and more individuals to your website. The more professional looking your site, the more credibility your company will gain. It is a part of human psychology. People tend to gravity towards things or people that look attractive. Therefore, make your web page attractive, and people will be attracted to it.

2. List your website in the best directories possible. The better the directory the better your links will be. If you are in the best directory, more and more websites will love to link to your website due to the respect that some of these major directories have.

3. Ask for links from other quality sites. You can request links from other websites, but you should only be adding links to top quality websites. Remember that the quality of the backlinks you get is much more important than the quantity of backlinks generated.

4. Create good relationship with owners of other websites. Once you have created a good relationship with these people and/or businesses, you can ask them to put your links on their websites.

5. Remain persistent. Link popularity can take some time to work. You have to be patient and let it happen on its own without trying to make it happen.

6. Use pay-per-click advertising as a link building tool. Pay-per-click ads will get more traffic to your site. If your site has more traffic it is more likely that other webmasters will want to create a link to your site, especially if they feel your site is informative and appealing at the same time.

7. Establish Command. You should make yourself an expert on your product, your service, and your field. Once you have established a higher credibility, your site will get more business. If you have more business, then your popularity will be higher, and other sites will be more willing to link to you.

Blogging For Money The Four Step Process To Success

bruce lee

So you want to make money with blogs? Good decision! Blogging for money is a simple and enjoyable way to build a presence online and make some cash while you're at it. Actually, blogging for money is the bread and butter of internet marketing in this day and age, and there are millions of people making a small fortune doing it.

The first thing you need to do is make a decision as to whether you wish to blog about a subject that deeply interests you (hobbies, sports, politics, pop culture, yourself!), or whether you wish to build a blog which is primarily designed to be a money maker. If you choose the latter, you will need to identify a niche market that you can blog to. This can be almost anything, from horticulture to antiques, but the more targeted the better. For example, instead of targeting the general antiques market, aim for 19th century French ceramics.

After you've decided the subject of your blog, you will then need to register with a blogging host. The most popular blogging hosts are Blogspot and Wordpress, both of which offer their service for free. Just go to their websites, follow the instructions and get your blog up and running. You can then spruce up the look of your blog by choosing between pre-designed templates, colours, fonts and designs.

The penultimate stage is to monetise your blog. There are two main ways in which to do this. The first is to add Google Adsense to your blog, and the second is to add affiliate links. Google Adsense is an advertising scheme in which advertisers pay a pre-determined sum of money to have their adverts placed across Google search pages and websites; as a blog publisher, you can add the advertising from Adsense on your blog and get paid every single time a visitor clicks on one of the ads. Google Adsense is absolutely free to sign up to. The second method of monetisation is affiliate links, which are simple text links or banners from vendors who are selling products. Typically you can expect a 50 - 60% commission on sales of digital products. Go to Clickbank to sign up for affiliate sites.

The final stage is to actually drive traffic to your site! If you're blogging for money, then you're going to need actual visitors to help make your blog an active cash machine. Getting traffic to any website is an art in itself, and there are many methods you can try out. One free method you can use is to post in related internet forums and message boards with a link to your blog in your forum signature. Another method is to submit articles to directories which, again, have a link to your blog.

This really is a general overview of blogging for money, which is a big picture. But do be reassured of its relative ease. The most important thing is just to make a start. Identify what you wish to write the blog about, register a free blogging account at Blogspot or Wordpress, and then start posting! After that, you will surely pick up hints and tips about monetisation and driving traffic along the way. Many internet marketers will confirm that blog optimisation is a lifelong learning process, so do not feel you have to get it right first time. Blogging for money should be fun, so ensure you enjoy the process.

When You Cant Think Of Anything To Say...

bruce lee

Ah, blogs. If you're like me (and many others building their or someone else's business), you may have created a web log to communicate more intimately and more frequently with your audience. It's supposed to be easy. After all, the technology is simple, the style casual and the content brief.

But after the initial wave of enthusiasm, you may find it increasingly difficult to generate ideas for the blog that began with so many thoughts – and so many posts – just a few months ago. Worse, you might be guiding a boss or colleague who may not be a fluent writer, but is the appropriate representative whose voice must be present in the Blogosphere.

How do you help that person refresh her well of inspiration when she's run out of ideas to draw upon? Tape the following list of ideas, prompts and suggestions over her monitor. Chances are, one of the following blog formats will give her just enough push to get through the next post.

1) Announce something
The most obvious choice: announce something new and noteworthy, like a product release or an upcoming seminar. Keep in mind that the best content is both germane to your organization and relevant to your audience. If your blog is aimed at investors, don't hammer them with technical data; likewise, if you are indeed speaking to techies, don't waste their time with personnel notifications.
Blog bonus point: Humility rules. Traditionally, announcements have been made via press releases to the media, where some hyperbole ("…the cutting-edge in process management solutions…") has been tolerable. But blogs are like cocktail hour conversations and any affectation of superiority comes across as rude.
In your blog, instead of trumpeting the importance of your announcement, ask for feedback. Suggest that readers take a look at your product, article or whatever, and request their input. Rather than playing the role of Prometheus carrying fire from the gods, be one of the gang – and write as if your subject were something that would be improved by their contributions.

2) Respond to an article or news item
Stuck? Pick up the paper. Or visit a website that offers news relevant to your industry. Then follow your gut: the more visceral your response, whether it's in ardent support of the author's message or in hostile reaction to it, the more likely it will inspire a passionate and interesting blog post.
Blog bonus point: Consider directing your readers to an unexpected source of insight. Much of the time, it's entirely appropriate to discuss the stories that appear in the sources most relevant to your industry; they form, after all, a common ground you're all likely to share. But once in awhile, it's a great idea to dig up a nugget of insight from an unlikely source.
In my copywriting blog, for example, I once directed my readers to a Wall Street Journal movie review that discussed the career of the late director Alexander Mackendrick. What did it have to do with copywriting? Deep within the article was Mackendrick's keen observation about storytelling: "A story in which someone wants or yearns for something becomes dramatic only when obstacles to the wanting are established." By discussing a source outside of the norms for copywriters, I guided my readers to something they wouldn't have discovered in the usual copywriting references. And I reinforced my blog's value as a resource for ideas not found everywhere else.

3) Reflect on an event
Meetings, seminars, speaking events, conferences and more – your industry probably offers dozens, if not hundreds, each year. Why not post about the ones you attend? And offer your perspective on the ideas discussed?
Blog bonus point: Bring in your observations about the attendees, as well as the speakers. Chances are, there's a web page somewhere that offers summaries of the presentation content. But as an actual attendee, you can offer insight into something the summaries will not provide: the reactions of the audience. How did they respond -- with enthusiasm, boredom or hostility? Were there a lot of questions? Any good ones worth repeating? By reporting audience reactions, you offer important insight to non-attendees that probably will not be available anywhere else.

4) Respond to a reader's concerns
Blogs are supposed to encourage "dialog," yet too many posts sound like voices in the wilderness. Or like that tipsy uncle who just doesn't know when to shut up. Look at the best "guru" blogs and you'll see that the bloggers take pains to build posts around comments and e-mails they receive. You build confidence and credibility when you explicitly address issues raised by your readers.
Blog bonus point: Prime the pump by inviting reader questions and comments. And be explicit: it's perfectly acceptable (and even wise) to end your posts with, "What do you think?" or "Has anyone else experienced this?" With a few simple questions, you can gather material for future posts while encouraging greater reader involvement in your blog.

5) Share a personal anecdote
Good blogs make personal connections and one of the most effective ways to strengthen these bonds is buy sharing your own personal stories: your first sales call, an unusual contract negotiation, an unexpected windfall to harvest or a disaster to recover from.
Your real-life memories, warts and all, may offer subtle shades of insight that are often obscured by larger theories or "best practices." They provide crucial details text books can not, and they add that extra seasoning of empathy – of allowing readers to walk in your shoes – that can give your message added urgency.
Blog bonus point: Don't be afraid to reveal a mistake or weakness. You don't have to be a superhero to your readers; in fact, they'd prefer to see you as one of them. So don't neglect those stories of failure, lost opportunity or disappointment – your hard-won wisdom may be your blogs most precious gift to readers.

And one extra tip:
Leave comments on other blogs you read and admire. The ensuing conversation may inspire your next post. At the very least, it's likely to draw interested readers back to your own blog.

Turn Your Hobby Into An Internet Blog That Makes Money

bruce lee

A lot of people have a full-time job making money online. But there is an equal amount of people who see making money online as more of a recreational bonus. So if you have some spare time, have a hobby you love, and like the internet, then you could see some extra cash in your account each month.

The first thing to do is to identify some good keywords for your particular hobby. There are many free guides on the internet which teach you how to do keyword research. Essentially all you have to do is build a list of good keywords (the words or phrases that people type into search engines when looking for a particular topic) and then you're ready to build your blog.

The second thing to do is to build you blog based on your keywords. Again, there are a wealth of resources available to show you how to properly construct your blog on a foundation of keywords; if you do intend to make good money from your blog, I would strongly suggest doing some research on this or to invest a small sum into an ebook which teaches you how to do it step-by-step. You can build a free blog at Blogspot or Wordpress.

Once you have your blog formatted, you will then come to the fun part - posting! Start writing about whatever you like, upload pictures and articles, and make your blog a passionate reflection on the strength of feeling you have for your hobby.

The penultimate step is to monetise your blog. There are two main ways to do this. The first is to browse sites such as Clickbank or Commission Junction and to find products which are related to your hobby's niche. The sale of a product you link from your site will earn you a set amount of commission. The second way is to install Google Adsense on your website. This is a form of text advertising where the adverts printed on your site are determined by the common words used on your blog. It's quite magical, and you will receive money every time a visitor clicks on one of those adverts.

The final step is to drive visitors to your blog. The more visitors you have to your blog, the more money you will make. Your best bet is to start off by joining lots of forums and newsgroups related to your hobby's niche. Simply add a link to your website in each of your forum profiles, and then start posting regularly to the forums. Alternatively, you can write articles based upon your hobby and submit them to free article directories like Ezinearticles.

This is a very brief overview. Each step is an art in itself and you should realise that building a blog is an internet hobby that makes money. It can be a long process but, ultimately, one you should enjoy. It is always a pleasure to build your blog a little, day after day, and to see more and more visitors arrive. It's quite possible you can build a big presence online and become something of a guru, but most importantly you will have extra cash rolling in.

How To Set Up Your Own Blog And Rss Feed In Less Than 5 Minutes

bruce lee

I have a quick question to ask you... "do you know How-To set up your own BLOG and RSS Feed so you Too can take advantage of all the benefits Blogs and RSS(Real Simple Syndication) have to offer you and your business?"

If you answered NO, your not alone.

I didn't either at one time, but that didn't stop me from finding out How-To on my own.
So basically, what I'm trying to say is by the time you finish reading this article you'll be a master at setting up your own Blogs and RSS Feeds in a matter of minutes by simply following my simple 'Step-by-Step' instructions below.

With that said, Buckle Up, put your thinking cap on, grab yourself a beverage and get ready to learn...

"HOW-TO Set Up Your Own BLOG and RSS Feed In Less Than 5 Minutes..."

Know lets go to Step #1.

Step #1. Go set-up an account with Blogger.com.
This is probably the easiest part of all, which is simply setting up an Blogger.com account at http://www.blogger.com.
Go there right now. It will take you to Blogger.com's homepage.
Once there, you'll see an orange arrow pointing to the right that says..."Create Your Blog Now" ... click on it.
That's Step #1.

Step #2. Creating your account with Blogger.com.
If you thought Step #1 was easy than Step #2 will be a breeze.
Simply select a Username and Password that you'll remember followed by your Email Address.(You don't have to use your primary email address, you can use a Free web-based email account like Hotmail or Yahoo! if you like. Your choice.)
Then check the box that says "I accept the Terms of Service".
Now proceed by clicking on the orange arrow that says... "Continue".
That's Step #2.

Step #3. Naming your Blog.(Very IMPORTANT!)
Now, depending on what your Blog is about your going to want to use your target 'Keywords' within the name of your Blog, its description and the URL.
And there's a good reason for this simply because this is what the Search Engine spiders are going to see first.
They'll first see them within your Blog name which is at the top of your Blog that your visitors see, they'll see them within your description of your Blog and then they'll see them within your Blog URL that you choose.
Why is this SOoooo important?
By using your 'Target Keywords' within those areas I just outlined, thats what the SE's will use to index your Blog under so when someone does a search for those target keywords, guess whose Blog will pop-up within the results depending on your competition?
That's right, Yours!
The SE's will also use those area's I outlined for your SE listing within there results index.
Here's an example for a quick 'Case-Study' for you.
This is one of my Blogs I have.
Go to: http://internet-marketing-tactics.blogspot.com
You'll notice my Blog title, description and URL all have the 'Keyword Phrase'... Internet Marketing Tactic.
To take this a step further, I want you to go visit these search engines MSN, Yahoo! and AlltheWeb and type in "internet marketing tactics" within there search boxes so you can see where my Blog sits within those SE's so you can see the importance of having your Target keywords within those area's I mentioned earlier.
MSNhttp://www.msn.com
Yahoo!http://www.yahoo.com
AlltheWebhttp://www.alltheweb.com
In the MSN SE results my Blog is #1 for that keyword phrase, in Yahoo! I'm #11(not bad) and in AlltheWeb I'm #18.
Of course these positions will very in time but just as long as you get the point of WHY you need to use your Target keywords within those 3 areas.
Lets move on.
Now, your last step for Step #3 is to simply type in the 'Verification Code'.
Once you've done that, click on the orange arrow below that says... "Continue".

Step #4. Choosing your template.
If everything went well in Step #3 and that Blog name you chose isn't taken you should be looking at a bunch of Blog templates Blogger.com offers.
Simply select the one you like most and then click "Continue".
CONGRATULATIONS!
You just created your first Blog and completed Step #4.
You should now be looking at an orange arrow that says... "Start Posting". Click on it and it'll take you to where you can start posting whatever it is you want.
Now that you have set-up your Blog your probably wondering... "where does RSS fit into this formula?"

Step #5. Locating your RSS Feed URL.
What can I say, I always leave the Best for last.
Assuming your still within the Blogger.com 'Posting' area you'll notice a bunch of tabs at the top labelled, Posting, Settings, Template and View Blog.
Click on the 'Settings' tab.
This will take you to a sub-menu with a bunch of other options.
Out of all those options click on the one that says... "Site Feed".
And there it is.
It should look something like this:
http://yourblogname.blogspot.com/atom.xml
This is the URL you'll want to use to promote your RSS Feed with to the RSS search engines and directories so that everytime you make a post, the RSS SE's and directories will be 'Automatically' notified and updated with your latest information bringing your Blog more exposure to your target audience.

That about sums it up for this tutorial, but, just before I go I'll leave you with a few articles I wrote earlier on RSS promotion to help you get the Most out of your Blogs and RSS Feeds.
Here are the links:
http://www.internetwondersezine.com/article_13.html
http://www.internetwondersezine.com/article_14.html
http://www.internetwondersezine.com/article_16.html
Now that you are armed with this information that I just revealed to you, you should have no problem setting up and getting the MOST out of your Blogs and RSS Feeds.

Use Blog To Help Rise Your Search Engine Ranking

bruce lee

One most important way to help increase web traffic is by link development. A typical way is by link exchange which is not a good practice especially if you are exchanging links with sites with unrelated topic. Your ranking will not benefit or even get harm by SE if you have a website about dogs but exchange links with an online casino. Search Engines will detect that and knows that you are doing unnatural link exchange.

blog - add value to your website Now it comes another way of smart link building - blogging. You can create a blog and write related topics about your website. You can posts links to your website pages, of couse dont make it appear that you are ad marketing your website.

Index your website quickly blogger.com is a best place to create your blog as it is owned by google. All blogs in blogger.com are automatically included into the crawler. You dont need to submit your blog to google to ask for inclusion. In this way if you have a new website and wish to be indexed by google in a quick way, conside creating a blog there !

More backlinks You may choose to host your blog in your own domain, or you can let them host it for you. In either case you are probably using another subdomain (e.g. blog.yoursite.com, yoursite.blogspot.com). Search engine sees subdomains as separate websites. So any links from the blog to your main website would be valuable and not counted as internal links. This naturally increases your SERP.

More Traffic People like to see blogs, as they are more human. Keep your blog content fresh and frequently updated. This can grant you a new source of traffic. Dont underestimate the traffic that a blog can bring you. If you have a product related page, it is strongly suggested you write comments and some product reviews on your blog.

Make Money Blogging

bruce lee

You have created a blog and your blog is dedicated to a niche industry. Have you ever thought that the blog could make money for you? We would look here in this article, ways and means, to make money blogging. Lets first have a look at what are the prerequisites for a blog needed to make money:

1. Blog needs to be dedicated to a niche market.
2. Updated regularly.
3. Enough back links (Don't worry for it. Directory submission would be enough to begin with)
4. Good blog host or application (blogger, Xanga or typepad recommended), and
5. High quality articles or news items supported with images.

Get the above criteria in place and Hurrah... You are ready to Make Money Blogging.

Top 5 Ways to Make Money Blogging

Lets now take a look at top 5 ways using which you could make money blogging:

1. Google Adsense

Google Adsense delivers text and image ads to the authorized websites/blogs depending on the content of the website. Small code is required to be pasted at proper locations on a webpage and Google automatically recognizes the page. Google shares the revenue it gets from the advertisers whenever a visitor clicks on these ads.

Google bills advertisers on price per click basis (PPC). Advertisers are required to pay only when any visitor clicks on their ads. They bid against each other for the keywords in order to receive better placement and thus prices for each keyword differ from one another. It is better to choose keywords for your blog which pays high $ per click.

2. Amazon

Amazon Associate program is another important way to make money blogging. The Amazon Associate program gives opportunity to website/blog publishers to promote any product from its inventory by adding a predefined code to their website/blog, which, when clicked by a visitor, takes them to the relevant product page. Once the visitor buys the product, the blog owner will be compensated with a commission.

3. Blogads

You can use Blogads as an effective tool to have a better control over the advertisers in your blogs. You can analyze and compare your profits with any one of your online agencies. Blogads can be simply specified as an advertising service used for the web logs or blogs. From the total money generated by Blogads, it retains 20% of it and the remaining money is paid to you through PayPal or checks.

Alternative Services:

• Crispads is another useful network focused on the blogs. You can put your advertisements in their blogs using Crispads. You can move through their RSS/ATOM feeds that help in generating revenues.
• Tagword – It is similar to Blogads. It makes you select the ads and their price.
Users can place their text-based ads in the site within minutes and the ads will be displayed instantly on the website.

4. Affiliate Programs

Your affiliate programs can help you earn a lot of money for selected products and services. Lot of websites offers you to become affiliate members. These affiliate programs can provide a better reach and an in-depth exposure to the products. The commissions for the sales differ according to the quality of the product, sales and marketing strategy involved. You can gather information related to the commissions by looking into the catalogues of Link Share and Commission junctions.

5. Text Links

Text links has emerged out to be the best form of moneymaking source that you can use instead of cluttering or crowding the page with ads. You don't have to make these text links prominent within your website. This link can act as an extra value to your site and will also help to promote the rankings of other sites. In most of the cases you will find these text links placed in the bottom of the web pages. The best part of this strategy is that the publishers send and accept links as the market continues to grow.

Make Some Quick Cash Blog Flipping

bruce lee

Over the past few months, I have become a "blog flipper". The concept is simple; you start a blog, gain some traffic and revenue, and then sell it for a profit. I have done this a handful of times and earned anywhere from $200-$1,000 each time. Once you get beyond a few thousand dollars, the number of interested buyers decreases dramatically. Here are the steps:

Step 1: Start a blog

You need to start a blog that is something you know something about, that enough people are interested in, and that will earn at least some decent advertising revenue. In terms of writing content find similar blogs and see what they write about. You can link back to their posts and add your own comments. You can also use articles from free article websites. Use search engines (like Technorati) to find similar blogs and read them regularly.

Step 2: Get Traffic

The best way to gain organic traffic is through commenting on other blogs/forums as well as submitting your site to blog directories. You can also facilitate search engine traffic by submitting your site to the major search engines (Google, Yahoo!, MSN, Technorati) and by using ping services.

Step 3: Earn Revenue

The easiest way to instantly earn revenue from your blog is through advertising. Your three best bets are: Yahoo! Publisher Network, Google Adwords, and Chitika. You will need to play around with color, targeting, and location to find out what works best for your blog.

Step 4: Flip it!

List your site for sale on forums dedicated to web developers. The best one to sell a small website (under $5,000) is Sitepoint Forums. It costs $10 to list a site for sale but it is worth it.

Before you list your site look at a handful of previous sales to get an idea for the proper format. The more you disclose from the beginning the better. Have links to screenshots for traffic and revenue (be sure to blur out CTR, Impressions, CPC), be sure to make clear the bid price, bid increment, buy it now (BIN) price, ending date, and acceptable payment method(s).

Five Easy Ways To Get Blog Traffic

bruce lee

Every blogger wants one thing: to be read. My hunch is that of all the millions of bloggers who try blogging, and give it up, most give up because they can't find readers. They feel that if they can't get traffic to their blog, what's the point?

If you're in this position, DON'T give up. Keep blogging. It's easy to get traffic and loyal readers.
Here are five ways to get traffic. All the methods work together, but Method 5 is the most important. The more of these methods you use, the more traffic you will get.

Method 1: Maximize the built-in RSS features of your blog

Your blog comes with built-in RSS (Really Simple Syndication). This means that it's easy for others not only to subscribe to your blog, but also to syndicate links to your latest blog postings on their own sites.

You can make your RSS feeds (news feeds) a lot more effective by adding additional functionality to them, for free, at the FeedBurner Web site. FeebBurner will burn your feeds with components which make it easier for other blogs and sites to link to you.

Method 2: Get a link from another Web site

The search engine spiders (indexers) navigate around the Web using links. This means that the more links to your site, the easier you make their job. Get at least one link from another site to your new blog. Our next three methods make getting links easy.

Method 3: Write a couple of articles

Every Web site and every blog is hungry for content. If you set out to deliver content, you can't go wrong. You'll get lots of traffic every day, and the traffic flood will start as soon as you post your first article.

There are many sites which accept articles. Webmasters search these sites looking for content for their sites. Aim to write at least an article a week to build the links to your blog.

Method 4: Leave comments on others' blogs

A blog is a conversation. If you agree with an item on someone's blog, or have an additional insight, leave a comment. Since commenters are asked to leave a Web URL, and their email address, this gives you a link back to your site. Note: this doesn't always work to get you a link, for various reasons, BUT it's still a way for other bloggers to realize that you exist, and perhaps to link to you.

When you leave a comment, make the comment count -- don't just write: "I agree". Write "I agree, because the same thing happened to me when (tell the story here)." All bloggers need content, and when you provide them with content, they will repay you -- usually with a link.

Method 5: Blog! The more content, the more visitors

A couple of months ago, I started an experiment to see whether a new blog that I developed could get some traffic, completely on its own. I did nothing to promote the blog, I just wrote content, posting to the blog two times a week.

Would the blog get traffic, I wondered? How much traffic? Amazingly, this little blog that I've done nothing to promote -- other than create content for it -- gets 50 unique visitors a day after a few weeks.

Content is the most vital aspect of blogging -- without regular posting to your blog, there's nothing for your visitors to see or to read. Of course, you don't have to WRITE content. You can create a photo blog, or a podcast (an audio) blog, or even a vlog (a video blog). The more content you create, the more traffic you will get.

Good luck. Try these five methods -- you'll get traffic beyond your dreams before you know it.

4 Easy Ways To Build A Blog

bruce lee

A blog is an important communication tool for business. You can use your blog to distribute information to your potential customers, as well as build a relationship.

So how do you build a blog?

There are several ways that you can do it, but it all depends on how much time you want to spend on configuring your blog, as well as the types of customizations you want to do to your blog.

Below are several places where you can either get a blog, or get the scripts to build your blog.

Blogger - http://www.blogger.com - This is by far the easiest of all the blogs to build. It takes about 30 seconds to create a blog, and you don't need to know HTML. If you decide that you want to customize your blog, it does have an extensive knowledge base, and you can quickly learn how to add to the template to make it your own. It's also very search engine friendly.

Word Press - http://www.wordpress.org - Word Press is one of the most popular blog scripts on the internet. It has tons of features, and it's search engine friendly. Some of the most popular blogs on the internet use this system for blogging. Some examples of features include plugins that allow you to create an mp3 player on your site so that you can use for podcasting. Other features include: technorati tags, photos, sitemaps, and an extensive collection of templates so that you can use to change the look and feel of your blog.

The code is light and fast, and it is search engine friendly.

Nucleus CMS - http://www.nucleuscms.org - This is the system that I use for my main blog. It has a few features that Word Press doesn't have, like the ability to create an ezine from your posts and send them as email. You can use a cron job to automate the process, and you can send out your ezine when you want it to go out. This is especially helpful if you want to build a list of subscribers.

It's allowed me to combine two tasks: blogging and ezine creation.

There's an extensive collection of plugins you can use to customize your blog, as well as a theme system. The only drawback here is the lack of themes. However, new themes are being designed, and it's pretty easy to design your own, or customize one of the theme available.
Code is search engine friendly, and you can use plugins to create a Google Sitemap, add keywords, as well as technorati tags. You can also create multiple blogs from one installation.

Drupal - http://www.drupal.org - This is really a content management system, instead of a blogging system, and instead of just creating a blog, you can create a community of blogs, or a complete community, including forums, group meetings, and more. The code is very search engine friendly.

There is a rich text editor so that you can code your posts.

Regardless of what system you choose to create your blog, choose a system that you feel comfortable with. You can quickly and easily use blogs to build relationships with your customers, as well as distribute your content. By building and writing a blog, you can demonstrate your expertise on your topic, while building relationships with your customers and readers too.

Ultimately, blogging can become one of the best tools you can use to market yourself and your business, and it's free to implement.

Blog:Who Cares What You Think

bruce lee

Somebody needs to care about what you think or you might as well be talking to the wall. The Internet allows you to blog about anything you want. It doesn't automatically create readers though. If you're blogging about something nobody cares about it will never be found and read, let alone responded to. One way to increase your blog topic response is to make sure there is a market for your topic. How could you do that?

Search On Your Topic

Go to the major search engines and type in the words you typically use when writing your blog posts. What web sites come up? As you visit each web site look for several things: how they talk about the topic, the types of products and services they offer, their Google Page Rank, articles, information pages, ezines, testimonials and, particularly, blogs.

The goal is to get a sense of how your topic is covered by other web site authors. This help you determine who cares about your topic and whether you've got a market place to connect with. When you explore other related blogs look for posts with comments to gage the level of interest in your topic.

Searching the Internet using your own words helps determine the size of the audience who sees things from your point of view. Is it a brick wall or an open door to a huge market of interested fans?

Evaluate Their Keywords

Make a list of the keywords and phrases you believe people you're interested in connecting with would use to find web sites on the topic you blog about. This is different than searching on the words you use to cover your topic. Although, it may be a good idea to merge the two lists to effectively reach your target market.

With list in hand, go to http://www.overture.com and click on "Visit the Resource Center" and then click on "Keyword Selector Tool". Use the Keyword Selector Tool to see how many people are searching on your blog topic. How many people using your topic's related keywords are likely to care about what you think?

Another way to check out who might care about what you think is to use the Google Suggest tool. Go to http://www.google.com and click on the "More" link. Next, click on the "Labs" link and scroll down to the "Google Suggest" link on the bottom of the left column. Again, how many people care about your blog topic?

Which ever way you use to size up your blog topic's market place of interest, you'll have a better handle on who cares what you think. If your blog is only an exercise in expression the numbers won't matter. But, if your blog is part of a small business marketing effort, you'll want to constantly search on your topic and evaluate their keywords.

So, if you blog on a particular subject and want your blog to be read make sure what you think is something that somebody cares enough about to search on using the keywords you're writing about. Or else, you might as well be talking to the wall.

Top 10 Tips For Blogging Beginners

bruce lee

Blogger.com offer free blogs and are cost effective for beginners. You'll be able to practice without expense. In addition, blogger offers a toolbar that makes it easy to post right from a webpage while surfing!

Give thought to subject matter before you start. Your subject will be the first part of your blog address. An organized blog will keep the interest alive.

Keep your personal and business life in separate blogs. Nothing is quite as frustrating as searching for a business related blog and finding unrelated personal posts.

Write so surfers can scan your copy. Paragraphs separated with subject headlines versus essay style. Paragraphs of three to four sentences are easy to scan.

Your keyword is simply your subject. Attempt to use it as the first word in your headline and again in the first sentence in your first paragraph.

Try to link within the paragraph to related products or content. An anecdote or quote is a nice finishing touch.

Use a font big enough to read. Think of it this way - the boomers are in a position to spend. One day you might want to sell on your blog - what if they can't read it?

Blog rolls are a series of links to other interesting blogs. Content would be easier to find if separated by subject matter.

As you read other blogs, take note of their style, content and organization. Emulate those you like. What works and what doesn't?

Take advantage of technology in your new blog. Practice posting photos, using other methods to post and setting up your sidebars during the first few months.

How To Make Money With Your Blog

bruce lee

Make money blogging is fun: you enjoy blogging and getting money from blogging. As long as "making money with your blog" is concerned, it doesn't matter whether you enjoy or not. The way generating money from blogging is the same regardless of whether you enjoy blogging or painfully doing.

Let's get to the point.

Every business has the same process. That is, make potential customer come to you and sell your product, service or information. Paraphrasing it into blogging term, let the readers come to your blog and make them click the link like "Buy now", "Join Now", "Adsense Ads", etc.

We call readers as traffic. And about how many out of your readers click the link refer we as conversion rate. Of course, the higher the conversion rate, the better.

Specifically, make-money blogging follows for steps:

Step 1: You blog, if not, start blogging.
Step 2: Bring traffic to your blog.
Step 3: PREsell with your blog.

That is, your blog content attract your reader to do some kind of action: buy your own product or go to the link you prepared, for example. But did you notice the word "PREsell"?. That's the most important thing in your make-money blogging plan.

Many experienced Internet marketers say that people are not buying anything when you extensively try to sell something. This makes sense if you recall your own experience. Did you buy something when a blogger tried to sell something? Maybe not! Instead, give your readers useful information and create the warm mood by giving them the benefits of product that you have in mind. And then, only then place a link so that your readers click through. This is so called PREsell.

Step 4: Monetize: This is your final goal and the monetization has two streams.

-Sell your own product, service or information, if you have one.
-For the blogger who don't have their own product, it's still possible to earn money from their blog thanks to the many affiliate programs among which most popular one is "Google Adsense". But it's just one example out of hundred affiliate programs. if not thousand.

In short, make-money-blogging is doing step-by-step action: that is, you blog, bring traffic, PREsell your blog readers and finally monetize. Without bringing traffic and achieving PREsell, it is not possible to monetize your blog. That's why you need to keep in mind the fact that make-money-blogging is step-by-step action.

Build A Niche Site With A Blog

bruce lee

The basic strategy is very simple. Find a niche market that isn't oversaturated. Develop a list of related keywords people are searching on. Then write an article optimized for each one of your keywords. Once you have your articles, upload them to your site. Monitize your site with affiliate links and Adsense.

For this kind of niche site to be effective and make money, it is imperative that you get free traffic, and a lot of it. And that's exactly where a blog can be your best friend.

Few people stop to think that you can build any kind of website with a blog. In reality, a blog can be used very effectively to build a niche site. The fact of the matter is, a blog is the easiest way to publish your niche site content. But the biggest reason to use a blog is that it can drive traffic to your site a lot faster than a statically-built site. A niche site built with a blog is a very powerful strategy.

First, choose your niche and research your keywords. Write your first article based on one of those keywords, just as you would when building a regular site. Then set up your blog and publish that article. Your niche site is now live.

To make your site structure the most effective, be sure to choose a blog that allows the use of Categories, such as Word Press or Moveable Type. Use your 10 most important keywords as the name of your Categories. Then file all your secondary keyword articles under those Categories.
Why is this so important? If you keep building your site with keyword-rich articles, eventually you could have hundreds of pages. Each of those pages will have a link to your 10 Categories. And each of those links will use the anchor text of your most important keywords. As a result of all those internal keyword-rich links, your site will end up ranking very well in the search engines for your Category names.

Now it's time to set up your traffic strategy. By submitting your new blog to directories, you can start getting traffic almost immediately. Quite often these feeds will result in a lot more traffic than all the major search engines combined. This is why it makes so much sense to build your niche site as a blog. You can have twice the traffic, and get it much faster than with a static site.

Here is a list of some of the top RSS/blog directories you should submit your site to: http://www.masternewmedia.org/rss/top55/

During the first month, I would suggest that you write and add a new article every day. Blogs that are frequently updated get the most traffic. And you'll find that the major search engines will spider your site every day. At the end of a month, you'll have a 30-article niche site that is already getting a lot of traffic.

7 Web Site Design Mistakes That You Should Avoid

bruce lee

In today's world, a web site is virtually mandatory for any successful business. But there are web sites that will win you customers, and there are web sites that will lose you customers. Good design has a lot to do with which category your web site will fall into. But what is it that makes good or bad web site design? In my personal opinion, a good web site is one that's simple, informative and gives me a reason to come back frequently. That's what you should get from a good web designer/writer team. Bad sites, on the other hand, are complicated to use, slow loading, confusing or just plain annoying. Here's a list of my personal top 7 turn-offs as far as web site design is concerned:

1. Slow loading pages

Studies have shown that you have less than ten seconds to grab a visitor's attention. If your web page hasn't finished loading within that (very short) amount of time, you might as well forget about it. The main culprit I've found here are huge, slow-loading graphics, especially when they are embedded in tables. If large images are absolutely vital to presenting your business, compromise by adding thumbnails to the main page and allow the visitor to click on them to access the main image. Nobody minds a longer loading time, as long as it's them who can make that choice.

2. No contact information

As I've already mentioned in my article "Do's and don'ts of web site copy", one of my pet peeves is a web site that has no contact information accessible form the main page. If I can't get in touch with a company quickly and easily, chances are that I'll go to the competition. My advice is to have a whole page dedicated to contact information - address, phone, fax, email, and preferably a map of where you can be found (remember item #1, though - no huge graphics!) And please, don't use a graphic to display that information in a particularly clever way. I like to copy and paste that information directly from the web page to my contact management program. If I can't do that, you'll likely never hear form me - and all other customers who do the same!

3. Difficult to navigate

Don't try to be clever with navigational features. Simple text links or, if you prefer, quick-loading graphics are perfectly good means of allowing a visitor to navigate your site. Anything that requires interactive navigation, like menus that expand into sub-menus, sub-sub-menus and so on, is more an indication of a wrong information architecture than of a true need for complicated navigational features.

4. Non-HTML features

Don't get me started on this one. I've got a firewall on my computer, and my browser is set to block all those little nasty things that can mess with my PC. As a result I come across many a site that won't display or function properly, because it relies on features like JavaScript, Cookies, Interactive Headers or Java Applets. None of these are necessary to build a good web site, and unless you want your web site to lose you potential customers, you shouldn't use them. Or, if you absolutely have to, make sure that they are not integral parts of the web site!

5. Huge splash page

Another pet peeve of mine. As mentioned earlier, you have less than ten seconds to get your message across. Now guess how many visitors are going to wait longer than that just to watch a fancy animation? 'Nuff said.

6. Pop-up ads

A huge turn-off as far as I'm concerned. As a matter of fact, I've got a pop-up blocker installed on my PC, so if your web site tried to tell me something important via a pop-up window, I'd never even see it. If you feel that you have to use pop-ups, consider going for the less intrusive (and annoying) pop-under windows instead.

7. Sideways scrolling

Not everybody has a monitor with the same screen resolution as you, so make sure that your web site displays on monitors with a lower resolution without forcing your visitor to scroll sideways. It's a singularly annoying thing, and chances are that you'll lose those visitors very quickly. Or, if you have information in a column on the right side of your web site, it may simply never appear on the screen.

Ways to get a Website Indexed Fast

bruce lee

To get indexed fast, I recommend you start a blog on your
site. Once you have built the basic barebones website (Main page,
a dozen content pages, and a sitemap linking them
together, it’s time to get indexed in the search engines.

You can “submit” your site to the search engines if you
wish, but that is too slow. Here’s where the blog comes into play… post articles or
messages to your blog on a daily basis, and don’t miss a
day for the first few weeks at least. The posts must be
interesting, and relevant to your site.

Configure your blog to automaticlly “ping” the blog
directories every time you publish a new post.

Here’s what happens… Google, Yahoo, MSN and the other
search engines are always looking for fresh content to
serve up to their search visitors or clients, and one place
they look for fresh content is in blogs. Search engines
absolutely love blogs, because they are dynamic — updated
on a regular basis by their owners – as apposed to normal
website pages which largely remain static – unchanged for
months on end.

If you update your blog every day by adding fresh articles
or other content, the search engines will notice, and they
will soon be visiting your blog every day like clockwork.

The search engines keep a cache of every web page in their
index.

And that’s how easy it is to get indexed fast.

The above is just a basic procedure. There are a lot of long-term ways but you may try first the above options.

Tips to get more Traffic, Backlinks from Forums

bruce lee

How can you get the most out of your time committed to forums?

* Genuinely be interested in helping others. It’s all about social networking.

* Quote the resources from your blogs with a link when it’s relevant. But don’t do this all the time, since it might set an alarm off at the forums moderators’ end.

* Most blogs have a Introduce Yourself section. Check that section often and be sure to comment on their blogs. Make an impression on the newbies.

* Try to be engaged in newer discussions. Blogs have a section called ‘New Posts’, which will give you a chance to find all the new posts at one place. This will expose you to more forum browsers.

* Be consistent in your forum participation.

* Brand Yourself! Brand your avater, language and signature. This will help you get noticed and stand-out.

Starting tips for a NEW website

bruce lee

There is no point in having a new website that looks beautiful and is unknown to the internet community unless you take some active steps to promote it,oe else all your efforts will be futile and useless. If you are not sure where to begin, here are some steps that are bound to prove useful.

1. Tell Your Associates:There is no need to reach the unknown millions of people out there surfing the Internet, instead it would be wise if we contact our friends and associates.Look at your e-mail address book and get the word out, tell your business contacts, friends, relatives and tel them to tell their friends too. Channelise them in a proper way.

2. Link to Your Own Site:If you already have one website, make sure that this site is linking to your new site. A website without any incoming links to it will have a very low page ranking in the all-important Google search engine and will face an uphill battle to be seen in Google search results, especially if you are in a very competitive category.Even when your site is in the construction stage you, or even your web designer can link to the new site from another already well-established site, mentioning that the new site is under construction. If you already have several sites, then link them to your infant site. It will help the new site to be seen in competitive search engine listings even in its debut period.

3. Get a paid inclusion in one of the big search engines:It takes 4-6 weeks to get listed in Google, and other search engines are equally slow. However there are a few fairly important search engines that have inexpensive express inclusion programs. If you join these programs, then your site will be listed in 48 hours. Inktomi, which provides results for MSN and 100 other search services, has an inclusion program which costs $39 for the first URL that you submit, and subsequent ones cost $25. The value of the Inktomi submission is that they revisit your URL every 48 hours and if you make changes on the page you can see the results in the MSN listings very quickly. Thus, you can tweak your pages and see how it affects your position.

4. Add your site to the Open Web Directory and the major search engines:Quality is more important than quantity when it comes to search engine submission. Forget about the sales hype that tells you to add your URL to 300, 000 search engines. Only a few search engines and directories provide the lion’s share of Internet traffic. If your site is in good shape, no longer under construction, then go to www.dmoz.org. This is the Open Web Directory. Find the category where your site fits, and make a submission. If you are accepted here your site will appear in the many search engines and local directories that use the results from the Open Web Directory. Inclusion in this directory usually takes time but it will help you a lot. Similarly submit your site to Google, Alta Vista and All The Web, these are the remaining giants where you can submit for free.

5. Start a reciprocal links campaign – Once you have given yourself a link from your other sites or from your designer’s page, you can go out and ask other complementary sites for links.Always try exchanging links with sites that have a good page rank for it indicates that the site has good hits and is often visited.By having a trackback link chances of your site having hits is enhanced.

6. Write an article about your product or service – If you have a website the chances are that you are an expert in the field that your site is all about. Write an article about your product or service, or write an article related to the subject matter of your site. Submit the article online to various websites and e-mail lists dealing with your topic. The publication of your article in a big e-zine, or on a popular web site can get your new site off to a roaring start.

7. Promote Your Site Off-line – Now that you have a site, put the URL brochures, business cards, TV advertising, and circulars. The cafepress.com has a program enabling you to put your URL on these items and even sell them online.
Last but not the least be unique and be promotionally inclined initially for traffic generation.

How To Make Money Using a Blog

bruce lee

Many friends have asked me whether we can make money from blogs or not. I told them you can make money even by selling lemonade at the corner of your school but the main problem is that you must have passion and time for what you will be blogging. Many people fail because they are starting blogs just to make money , they are writing 2 or 3 articles and they are using different affiliate links and other advertisement programs to catch any cents.

You must know that in order to make some money , at least you should know what you are talking about and not post just crap in order to increase number of posts in your blog.
Many newbies on the internet doesn't even know how to get a free blog online so in this article I will explain step by step what you have to do in order to make some cash from your blog

There are 2 big blog providers online which are

* WordPress.com
* Blogger.com

- WordPress has a lot of templates and widgets so you can use for your blog , you can create categories and you can even purchase more space and other cool features if you upgrade
- Blogger was purchased by Google so the best part is that you can get accepted to Adsense through Blogger. The bad part is that you cannot create categories but you can give Labels to your posts as they were categories (Im doing it)

You must know that creating a blog is really simple but updating it everyday with new and unique content is really a hard work (its not so hard if you speak about your favorite niche like I'm doing) So content will be the judger whether you will be a successful blogger or not, if you will update it once a week chances will be very low but if you will post good and unique content every day then you will be in the right road

So ok so far , you have created the blog , you chose your template and you are posting some articles. You will ask how will you get the traffic ?

There are tons of ways to drive traffic to a blog , I will explain some of the techniques I'm also using

* Register at FeedBurner.com
* Register at TechnoRati.com
* If you are a member of DigitalPoint Forum add your RSS Feed to your profile (it will be shown under your username everytime you post a new reply or thread)
* Write some unique articles and upload them at Article Directories (See this post for more explanations)
* Register at MyBlogLog.com
* Add your blog url to your signatures in every forum you are (if possible add also an avatar with your blog's address)
* Add your blog url to high pr directories

So with 7 easy and free ways you can start seeing some increases in your traffic (Note that if you dont post regularly your traffic may decrease again)

Now I know that all of you are thinking , how will we be making money from our blogs ? Its really simple but I would strongly recommend use just 2 or maximum 3 advertisments and do not put the advertisements from the beginning (wait until you have some traffic then you may add them) Make sure your advertisements and other widgets are like your template so you wont have a lot of contrast.

Here I'm listing the ways how you can make money from your blog once you have some decent traffic and some readers

* Adsense (CPM & PPC which pays differently for each niche)
* Text-Link-Ads (Get Money if someone buys a link to your site from TLA)
* ReviewMe (Get paid for different reviews you make , more traffic you have more you will earn)
* PayPerPost (same as ReviewMe but it has more advertisers in their network)
* Money4Banners (Doesn't matter if you have a small or big blog , you get 10$ when you sign up and 5$ every month just to display their advertisment
* WidgetBucks (this seems to be most promising program which pays very high rates but nobody has received any payment so far as its a new company)

So I'm listing just these 6 ways but if you would be interested on others feel free to contact me and I will share my experience with you.

You Have Nothing To Loose

bruce lee

You have nothing to lose! How many times have you thought about opening your own business? 5 times, 10 times, 100 times? Today is your day. Stop letting your dreams collect dust, and choke us all to death when you dust them off with I coulda, shoulda, and other high school has been rants! After all the worst thing that could happen if your business fails is that you have to go and find a job or go back to the job you were unhappy at. Starting a business will only increase your skill set, enhance your resume and increase your chances of success in the future. Plus its cool, fashionable, and profitable!

Here are the facts or as I like to say a crash course in reality!

Two-thirds of millionaires are entrepreneurs, according to Thomas Stanley and William Dank, authors of The Millionaire Mind.

You receive not only a salary, but also a lot of money if you sell your company or take it public. Or did you want to be “comfortable”? Comfortable is working at a job for 40 years, having just enough retirement to last about 5 years, then having to choose between going back out in the workforce at age 70 or eating cat food!

Operating a profitable business in the long term is less risky than being an employee in the long term. Business owners are the last people to go down with a ship if business turns bad. Or is your ambition to be another corporate employee victim, losing your 401K after the top executives decide to give themselves a no interest 300 million dollar loan or cash out their millions in stock?
So what does it take to be a successful entrepreneur? Glad you asked:

Self-Control – You can’t buy every computer application, hire every consultant, go out partying all the time or watch TV during business hours, you need self control! Especially for those of us looking to strike it rich in the platinum mines of Web 2.0. There are a ton of distractions on the web and the most successful out there have control and focus. Do you?

Self-Confidence – You have to tackle ALL your problems immediately with confidence and persistence in your pursuit of your company’s objectives. If you are a chicken in the world of business, prepare to be some savvy wolves dinner as they devour your next great idea.

Sense of Urgency – You must have drive and high energy levels, be achievement-oriented, and be tireless in trying to achieve your goals. Things change fast on the internet, I mean like by the hour or minute ! So in order to cut it here you gotta strike quick, cash in and reassess the plan. You can learn plenty of that right here at JohnCow.com. Cash Cows can run fast, if you wanna milk it you have to be on your toes partner!

Realism - Entrepreneurs accept things as they are and deal with them accordingly. They may or may not be idealistic, but they are seldom unrealistic. Look don’t come out the gate thinking your gonna strike a deal of myspace, google, or yahoo proportions out the gate. Know what you don’t know.

Emotional Stability - Entrepreneurs have a considerable amount of self-control and can handle business pressures. They are comfortable in stressful situations and are enthralled rather than discouraged by setbacks or failures.

Still need inspiration? Stick around, we are just starting to have fun at the Cow!
